LangTech has patented its “LangTech fibre”. “LangTech fibre” is not only high in calcium, but capable of lowering the glycaemic index and has a prebiotic effect.
Other fibres can be made from a range of fruits and vegetables including Blackcurrant fibre which typically contains over 2% anthocyanin’s and an ORAC of over 100,000 µmol TE equiv/100gm. Fibre products are ideal for use in beverages and dry foods where added natural fibre is required.
Anthocyanins and other phytochemicals to a very pure state can be separated from the processed product streams using chromatography technology.
Whole juices can be produced from citrus peel and a range of tropical juices such as Mango, Pineapple and Mandarin. Juices from Blackcurrant, Cherry and various vegetables can also be produced using the CCE technology.
Soft dried fruits:
Whole fruits like Blackcurrants, Cherries, Apricots and Blueberries are processed using the diffusion and infusion technology which replaces the extracted soluble solids with a range of sweeteners and bioactives. The infused fruits are then dried to meet customers’ requirements.
