Mr Tim Lang, Director
Is the founder, owner and inventor. Tim is an Executive Director, holding the position of Chief Technology Officer. Tim has over 30 years’ experience in the food processing industry, was instrumental in developing technology improvements for the Australian wine industry and has consulted to many food processing companies in Europe, North and South America, Australia and New Zealand. Tim implemented the technology platform for Ocean Spray which now runs more than 20 CCE’s in its production facilities around the world.
Mr Domenic Martino, Chairman
Has served as Chairman of many successful Australian companies after having a long career with Deloitte as Managing Partner for Western Australia and New South Wales and CEO for Australia.
Mr Jan Dekker, Board Observer
Jan is a career cleantech investment professional. An experienced venture investor and company director, he has been employed in a variety of senior executive roles within the cleantech sector for over 20 years.
Prior to founding Cleantech Ventures, Jan was the founding Managing Director of the Centre for Energy and Greenhouse Technologies and was previously an Associate Director at the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (NSW). He has also held positions with Sydney Water, the NSW EPA and as an environmental consultant. Jan currently serves on the Advisory Committee of the Commonwealth Government’s Clean Technology Innovation Centre, the CSIRO’s Manufacturing Sector Advisory Committee, and the Commercialisation Advisory Committee of the National Centre of Excellence in Desalination.
He continues to serve on the boards of several companies.
Mr Bill Nikolovski, Chief Executive Officer
Bill’s executive career is distinguished by his senior leadership roles in Australia and overseas in leading and growing businesses in the marketing research, clean technologies, automotive, information technology, telecommunications and consumer goods industries.
His passion for leading people – combined with an analytical approach – has seen him responsible for strategy and planning, business development, marketing, product development, acquisitions and divestments, and operational management in companies ranging from Ipsos (as Managing Director of Australia and COO of the Asia-Pacific), through NCS Pearson Australia, Australian Electronic Manufacturing Services, Cleantech Ventures, Metaca Corporation, Leigh Mardon and Pilkington Automotive.\\
Dean Fraser (Chief Financial Officer)
Dean has significant financial and commercial experience across corporate finance, investment banking, business development and legal roles. Prior to founding Fortis Corporate Advisory in 2009, Dean worked as a corporate adviser with Greenhill Caliburn, one of Australia’s’ leading independent corporate advisory firms, and as a mergers & acquisitions lawyer with Australian law firm Minter Ellison. Dean has significant M&A, ECM and DCM transaction experience, having advised leading domestic and international clients across a variety of sectors, and is a qualified lawyer.
Jonathan Middis (Chief Technical Officer)
Jonathan has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Auckland University with expertise in Heat Transfer, Non-Newtonian Suspensions and Separation Processes. He has more than 15 years experience in New Product Development in global FMCG and has overseen the launch of more than a thousand items in that time. He has launched products in more than 50 countries primarily in Beverages (Coffee, Juice) and Dairy (Cheese) but spanning every aisle of the supermarket. He is an innovation specialist, having received a number of awards for his work, has identified and authored a number of patents in the area, and speaks regularly on driving an innovation culture and accelerating NPD.
Brett Hallam (Chief Commercial Officer)
Brett has 16 years experience working in the food and beverage industry. Brett has a degree in Applied Science, majoring in Food Technology and Chemistry. He has a strong level of experience from the ground up the in fruit juice and flavour industry, learning his craft in R&D at Berri Limited (now Lion) and The Product Makers. He has held a broad range of roles in product development, quality assurance, procurement, sales and account management and business development. He has extensive experience dealing with both domestic and overseas markets, particularly in South East Asia.
Frederick Borg (Chief Operations Officer)
Frederick is an accomplished senior manager with a strong track record of achieving successful business turnaround in under-performing organizations through effective leadership and communications skills. He has a consistent track record of introducing prudent cost reduction strategies, while improving customer service with stakeholders in manufacturing and distribution environments. Frederick has extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing, various WMS/ERP systems, X-docking/warehousing facilities and change management and has managed teams of over 130 people.
